My "Why?"

Resized_IMG_08582-Edit-Edit.jpeg

After hearing countless stories about bullied teens taking their  lives, I was moved to use my talent to create a platform to encourage children to stand up to bullies. But it was when I learned that , “57% of bullying situations stop when a peer intervenes on behalf of the student being bullied,” that I created my Trademark catch-phrase CLA-PLOUD™.

My goal was to “Take the Power away from the Bully” by encouraging kids to not laugh at the victim but to CLA-PLOUD™ the bully. Since a majority of bullying occurs between the age of 12 and 18, I decided to address bullying at an early age by creating an animation to engage kids 5 to 10. Through my animated  TV Series, Black Butterfly in a Colorful World, children are able to experience Brian’s journey and see how it feels to be bullied.

A little about myself

I grew up in Lexington, Kentucky and graduated from Kentucky State University, Cum Laude, with a degree in Marketing. During my time at Kentucky State, I became a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority and was titled, Miss KSU.

My love for animation goes all the way back to a dreamy little girl in pig tails with a vivid imagination. Writing has always been my passion and my chosen form of expression.  I published my first book, “The Tribute”, and was recognized in 2008 for my achievement in poetry as Editor’s Choice for my poem, “Mom your Best Friend”.

I am truly grateful to God for the ability to share my gift.
